Just Wait Teens Need Your Help
How Substance Abuse Ravages America and What to Do About It
by Joseph Califano, Jr.

High Society

Joseph Califano, Jr. describes his new book, High Society: How Substance Abuse Ravages America and What to Do About It, as a "call to arms". Califano, Chairman and President of the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University, presents in devastating detail the many ways in which substance abuse infects all aspects of American society.

Many of the statistics he weaves into his argument are familiar. In their entirety, however, they paint the portrait of a nation drenched in alcohol and substance abuse.

You can Help Stop the Teenage Drug Problem

“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime”—Author unknown

This is the concept behind the Just Wait Teens Positive Youth Development Program. The teens will learn how to fed themselves for a lifetime.

No, we are not talking about feeding them through fishing, but according to their Talents, Attributes and Gifts and College Scholarships.

This is where we need your help. During the 4 years of the Just Wait Teens Program, the teens will raise and sell enough vegetables and fruits to replenish the Scholarship Fund. Land usage has already been donated, but now the Just Wait Teens need additional resources to work the land and raise the vegetables and fruits.

During the 4 years each teenager will have to work and raise enough money to replenish the Scholarship Fund to make it available for the next generation of Just Wait Teens. That way, the Just Wait Teens Program is self-sustaining.

What is needed:

Old Farm Tractor (working or not)
Tractor Plow
Tractor Disks
Trailer or Wagon
Lots of Hand Tools
Tiller
Old Camper with working a toilet
Fencing
Greenhouses
Manure
Seeds
Fruit Trees

The Just Wait Teens Program is part of the Just Wait Foundation, a 501 (c)3 organization; therefore a tax deduction certificate for the fair market value will be available for any donation.

The Just Wait Teen Program

The teenagers of the Just Wait Teen™ program  are exposed to the information and research concerning their Happiness, their Temperaments, their Talents, their Attributes, their Gifts and how to maintain long term relationships. The Just Wait Teen™ program  is life enhancing program, not a substance rehabilitation program. Although its' objective is to give the teens tools and understandings to reach 21 years - substance free.

This Program was developed by the Just Wait Foundation a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation to prevent drug, alcohol, and tobacco problems among teenagers. The Foundation provides one-year scholarships (two semesters) at a Community College or $1000 award to teens that completes the 4 year Just Wait Teen™ Positive Youth Development Program, obtains a GED, or graduates from high school - alcohol, tobacco, and drug free. The Just Wait Foundation has arranged to use of 80 acres to raise fruit and vegetables to finance the scholarships

We offer free training for any person or group that wants to start this program in their community.
